Chopard The luxury Swiss timepiece brand was found- ed in 1860 by artisan watchmaker Louis-Ul- ysse Chopard. Three generations later in 1963 the company was bought by goldsmith and watchmaker Karl Scheufele III, whose family continues to run the company today. Chopard’s reputation for high-precision, ul- tra-thin and extremely accurate pocket watch- es surged. In the 1980s, convinced that a Chopard stainless steel watch would succeed, a young Karl-Friedrich Scheufele launched the now-iconic Moritz Swiss watch – an elegant, luxury sports watch. The same decade saw the launch of Caroline Scheufele’s Happy Clown classic jewellery collection. This year Chopard announced that its steel watches – including bracelets and cases – will be made from recy- clable Lucent Steel. 119 King St, Sydney NSW 2000 Retailers in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Tel: +61 2 81976007 chopard.com Kennedy Since 1976, Kennedy’s carefully edited col- lection of fine jewellery and luxury men’s and women’s watches has continued to be redefined to reflect its commitment to bal- ancing heritage with elegance and modern innovation.
