“ QUOTES “If you look at history, innovation doesn’t come just from giving people incentives; it comes from creating environments where their ideas can connect.” – Steven Johnson “Good management is the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them.” – Paul Hawken “Treat employees like they make a difference, and they will.” – Jim Goodnight T he experts agree: innovation, at its core, is not about the latest technology or the largest R&D expenditure. Simply, it’s about people, and the core objective of any great manager is to get the best out of their team – their best asset. With the respect and admiration of the team, there is very little that a good leader cannot manage. Throw in the ability to get people excited about their work, and you have a recipe for success – not only on an individual level, but also company-wide. Such is the power of innovative leadership.
It is not a universal truth that it is lonely at the top. Often enough it isn’t. Depends on the leader and his/her style.
